A cooperation agreement was signed between the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) country office in Azerbaijan and "AZPHA" LLC, which represents The Body Shop, the well-known British beauty products manufacturer in Azerbaijan.

According to the agreement, the parties will cooperate in the spheres of promoting gender equality and the rights of women and girls as well as combating gender-based sex selection and gender-based violence in Azerbaijan.

“UNFPA is interested in establishing partnerships with the private sector to advance its agenda in Azerbaijan. It is commendable that The Body Shop, under it corporate social responsibility, will be working with us for the benefits of our society. We highly value this partnership and look forward to the successful results of our future joint activities", said Mr. Farid Babayev, the head of the UNFPA country office in Azerbaijan.
